Abstract

The increasing demand for multi-story buildings has heightened the need for efficient and accurate structural analysis and design methods. This study examines the use of ETABS software for the analysis and design of multi-story structures. The methodology involves creating grid systems, defining material and section properties, assigning loads and load combinations, and performing structural analysis and design. Results from the study include key structural parameters such as shear force, bending moment, base shear, and lateral displacements, which are presented in diagrams and charts. For instance, the analysis yielded detailed reinforcement plans, base shear diagrams, and insights into seismic performance, including fundamental periods and frequencies. The software’s ability to handle complex models efficiently was demonstrated through the generation of comprehensive designs for beams, columns, and slabs, ensuring compliance with building codes. G+4 Story is analysis here with different simulation techniques of ETABS and having building base period of 0.583 seconds and Frequency 1.714 Hz
